Not quite. Second gear will release the sprag from reverse, and it is not locked in reverse, it still needs the speed difference to lock the sprag. I drive one every day and there is no missing when that sprag locks on pavement.

Push in the clutch and leave it in 5th gear. I love the smoke wisping up through the floor boards when starting from a stop.

I keep a small squeegee inside. I wonder if one could mount a wiper arm and blade on the inside too. I seem to get just as much rain on the inside as the outside at freeway speeds
