    I understand the power is there....Power is great but I'm exploring options in the axle itself...gearing...planetaries...maybe there are other options that way we can increase mileage too but stay under 2200 rpms max....60-65mph...

    Good read here. I've been around the Detroit Diesel's a bit from 6v92ta Silver's to the 8v92tta Silvers. I did a bunch of work with an Oshkosh Snowblower that had the 8v92TTA...twin turbo's...It was rated at 750h.p....we had it detuned down to 580h.p. and moved the max...rpm's up to 2400rpm's...
