That's a good point, and honestly I don't know the answer. I've never been pulled over while hauling the trailer. Maybe somebody in the group can weigh in. juanprado answered it, but here in NC I see HMMVs with Vermont tags all the time. In my case it's just a trailer , and I definitely cannot speak to a laws or legal stuff but there was just no other option for me to get a tag on the trailer, Heck if you search this site you can probably find...- nayrbrellim

I bought a govt trailer without a title. NC wanted me to jump through a thousand hoops - get a double indemnity bond etc etc, I called a place in Maine - I got 5 yr plates for under $300 and a Maine plate (Vermont does the same) - no title - no nothing.- nayrbrellim
