    I just spoke to one of the product support guys over at Southern Automotive and he told me the AMA5102 manual is also appropriate for the 5104s.

    To answer Guyfangs question alternators aren't usually specific to a particular truck and can be used wherever a 24v 60A alternator is required.

    I believe that the difference between the two alternators is in the regulator assembly. The 5102 has round pins connecting the regulator to the body and the 5104 uses spade connectors.
