Working On The M561 Gama Goat

You could make some wheel chock like platforms to raise the center wheels when parked. That would put enough pitch on the bed to let the water roll out if the tailgate was cracked. I also thought about putting in a trailer drain plug from a M416, or the aluminum equivalent. Just have to...

It's a good thing to be a cracker jack engineer. Looks good. There is always rtv, then save the gasket kit for the final assembly.

You could almost thread a bolt into that hole, if it wasn't so close to the bung. Remember to add a length of hose to the oil drain hole and a remote valve, for easy oil changes, before you complete the final re-install.

Mark, could you take more pictures of that from various angles? I may be needing to fabricate one for my goat. Do you know if that defroster part was part of the hard or soft top winterization kit?

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Most of the auto parts chain stores have tool loan programs. You leave a deposit of the price of a tool, then get it back when you return it. Call around tomorrow and see if any have the torque range you need. Then if you like the tool, you just keep it. Lots of specialty tool listed on the...

Thanks combat32. Are the studs that the cover mounts to secured to the body, or do you have to put a wrench on the backside of the mounting bolt?

If you get a chance, grab some pictures of how the cover comes off of the +24v terminal strip / buss bar that sits below the radiator. This is the junction point of the battery cable, slave cable, & starter cable. Thanks Tony.

If you phone was smart & had a sim card. Your contacts could be on it, and retrievable if your new phone uses a sim. Just swap the card and copy them into the new memory.

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

I will have to try and post the link to the YouTube page. One of the Tamiya big wigs is a member of a Japanese MV club and has a m792 goat. He fixed it up and used it as a static display at a toy convention when he released the model. There are also YouTube's of the goat in a jeep convoy as...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Sorry to hear you are sour on Eastern. You should have also ordered a set of their goat seat cushions. :) That would have raised your total. Dealing with shipping has to be the @$$ end of the retail world. But I figure it evens out on my end in the long run. When I ordered arms for my goat I...

Here are some pix I snapped of the brackets on mine, in case you go the DIY fabrication route. Also there are some pix of aftermarket Jeep brackets that could be modified to work as a temp fix to get the Old Girl on the road. Here is a link to my Gama gama hey! post.
