    Sounds similar to my experience unloading the MUST shelter. Past the breakover point was when stopped lowering to back the truck up and thats when the stock tie down point on the shelter decided to break free.     If the winch mount moves you can easily add a strip of angle iron on the outside edge of the bed for more strength.

    Lookin good. The S280 builds have me interested, they are over a foot shorter in height than that MUST shelter I had.

    The anchor points on the skid won't handle it. Learned that unloading the MUST shelter. He's building a skid that the shelter will be secured to, no problem.

    For winch space I moved the bed back about 6 inches. Controls are pretty easy to access and its protected from the cargo in the bed.

    The other thing about the tail roller is it prevents damage to the winch cable. Very useful. Even for stuff that's not on a skid, like spare tires. Guide rollers on the sides is a great idea quickfarms.

    You're planning to run just the outside 2 mounts correct?

    To avoid damage my plan (similar setup, bed roller and winch) is to use wood at the bottom of the skid, as a designed wear point.
