    I also would like to see the reference in the TM's for the CUCVs. Not saying it's not there but I'd be hard pressed to believe that the original CUCV TM's from the mid 80s would show a Trombetta part number for the relay and the mod directions. Why do they call it the Doghead Mod? Cause he...

    Poll - Who has done the Doghead Relay Conversion

    The relay change has nothing to do with whether it is 12 or 24 volts. What you will be doing is removing an 25 year old unreliable relay and replacing it with a new "beefier" heavy duty relay. Everything else remains the same.

    I did my M1009 about a month or two ago. Everyone needs to do it to prevent the relay from hanging open and burning the starter up.
