    If you get a used one, regardless of what the sales pitch is, i'd rebuild it. Sometimes they can go into a free-wheeling mode too. Observe on the front of it, there should be a couple of holes that you can insert a couple of cap screws into, and lock it into fixed rotation/drives all the time...
