    I've had good luck with Harbor Freight's transmission jacks. I have both the medium and heavy duty models.

    Yeah. If the cracks go deeper then a 1/8" of an inch then you must replace the flywheel. To bad :-( .

    Heat cracks are quite common on most all diesel engine flywheels. Most can be ground out when the flywheel is resurfaced.
