    Interesting, a German transmission in a American deuce. Don't get me wrong ZF makes great transmissions ! I just find it funny is all.

    By the shift pattern, but I was "assuming" they would use regular deuce parts. What year was this truck made ? The NV4500 transmission came out in 1992 and is only rated to 14,500 GVW. Way to low for the deuce. I suppose they could have used a newer Spicer or Eaton or Fuller or who knows what. I...

    So they used the Spicer 3052 transmission. I guess they figured the Cummins could rev higher so they just stayed with a standard transmission with no overdrive. After all the Spicer 3052 is stronger then the 3053. No over spinning gear on the shaft just one to one straight out.

    It looks like they all used a "gasser" radiator. Did they also use the Spicer 3053 transmissions ?
