I totally agree. Yes I keep saying "this was my last post" but I was getting dragged back in.
Like I've said all along, I don't want misinformation getting out here.
I've seen that hose your referring too "texas30cal" and it is a good one. "Motion Industries" will sell by the foot, you just...
I read your extremely small lettered papers and totally agree with them. Yes fuels are mixed with Bio-Diesel. Yes old hoses manufactured before 1993 are susceptible to Bio-Diesel. What does that have to do with "Nitrile Type C" hose ? Did you notice the "Type C" written after Nitrile on the...
OK this will be my last post on this matter (but I'm sure I will be dragged back in) . I received a call back from "Olympic Controls" . These are the people who make the original fuel pump for the deuce. They said they get their hoses from "Motion Industries" and the part number is : ready for...
OK, after talking with the Gates representative, the Tech guy from "Olympic" pumps and several others today I found out what is going on. There was a "revision" to the SAE J30R10 standard due to the change in "gasoline" . So the "Gates" hose series "4219-0102" which many of us here have used for...
The fact is, the scans in your last post don't list a 30R10-rated 1/2" ID product, which is what the hurdle has been throughout this entire volley of posts.
I just have to point this out as you didn't read the spec sheet. Read the highlighted parts.
Note the part where it says "exceeds...
If you had actually looked at the specifications of this hose instead of listening to the "advice" of the "NAPA" parts guy you would realize it is fine for "Diesel" fuel. For those who don't know, "Menaces Nemesis" doesn't like me. All those Nasty little PM's. I didn't take it to the forums...
"Gates" makes 1/2" immersion rated fuel hose. There are several suppliers out there. I always recommend you "replace" the fuel hose after removing and installing the fuel tank pump.
In all honesty there is not much difference between the "Parker" and "Olympic" pumps (except sound levels) . Like I have said many times now, they both produce the same pressures in my system which has identical lines to each tank so they are also producing the same flow. If one pump can...
I understand you have a "Parker" now. I have a new "Olympic" pump in my right tank and a almost new "Parker" pump in my left tank. The pressures are almost identical. The other pressures your talking about are the boost pressures from the injection pump.
You can "splice" into the cut off pigtail left on the new pump. The rest of the wiring is the same as the "Olympic" pump. Mine is working great in my auxiliary tank . In fact it is quieter then my brand new Olympic pump in the right side tank.
Jason if your arguing about who knows Ohm's Law better then YOU WIN ! I was making an "analogy" using Ohm's Law to make a point. I guess you missed that part ;)
There is no mention of this in any of the manuals. There is no need from the TM's point of view. We already know the diameter of piping used so all that matters is the pressure, which is easy to check. It is like "Ohm's Law" . Volts X Amps = Watts . Here it's diameter of pipe X pressure = flow...
