    Fast Axles

    The axles are a bevel gear reduction on the wheel end, not portals. Regardless of bevel gear size the reduction will always be 2:1 unless they are eliminated.

    They likely do not and are just displaying Meritor's part information. Last I talked to Meritor, which was about 4 months ago, the R&P is a good part number with no stock and 3-6 months to have manufactured.

    Part numbers don't exist in their system. Meaning that the differential was designed to have those gears and a part number was assigned to them but no parts have been produced.

    I spent an hour talking to Meritor tech support and that is the right part number, however he said that the vast majority of those diffs had the 3.70 ring and pinions. I did query him on the ratios less than 3.07.

    M810 differential is not what the LMTV's have. The FMTVS use the RF611 axle. I wish they did however as the M810 has a far better selection of ring and pinion ratios.

    Meritor still shows the gears as a regular production part number, they are expensive however and about a 3-4 month wait. 53's will fit an LMTV A0 without the winch with little fanfare (need to trim the front storage boxes. The later trucks and winch trucks need to have the reservoir tank...
