Button increases flow into the pump. Not fuel pressure out of the pump. The shaft bolt increases pressure out of the pump to the engine that in turn puts pressure on the camshaft from the injector force increase.
You have to have enough flow to get the fuel into the upper IP to increase...
The adjustment screw in the throttle shaft adjusts rail pressure meaning more injector pressure with the screw turned out. This means more turbo boost with more fuel
