Wheel Adapter? *hope this hasn't been recent..."

It could not hurt. Have the bore of that thru-hole match the bore in the hubs. Still contersink the back and sock that mother up REAL tight. One of my old customers was a very large steel supplier. They stock, or can get, steel tube that would be within about 1/2" of both inner and outter...

Something like this would keep things tight though you'd have to relieve the 5 ton center hole for the deuce studs, then chamfer them and the adapter as a unit for the deuce lug nuts to seat. You'd use 8 lugs to hold the 5 ton wheel to the adapter.

The 10 hole bolt circle is much larger compared to the deuces 6. The 8-3/4" deuce bolt circle is the diameter of the center hole in a typical 10 hole wheel. The deuce hub would need to be almost 2" lager PER SIDE. That'd be some mega machining time there. That guy is Randy Ouverson of...

I think it would put them just about the right placement with the 1" spacing. 14x20's are too tall. I have a set of 395/85-20 XL's that are 15.5x45.5. They'll fit without the mods needed for 1400 that are about 3" taller. I often throw around ideas in my empty head and would think that a...

Yeah...that's a bunch of shite! I have my 478hr good running multifuel sitting around and a guy in the business tell me he'd buy it IF it was nice and cheap. I asked how cheap and he told me PRETTY cheap. He's advertising injector pumps for $600. I'll keep it.

Chuck's Trucks has a set for $2000 for four of them. Crackheads. I ran across a guy that thinks with a little time he can round me up a set of 'A3 wheels so I'm pretty much holding off making a spacer for a while. I'm still going to be getting the 10 hole wheels. We'll see...I still got a...

The Michelin XL's are a directional wheel. They put them on like that so that you can't tell whether it's coming or going from the tracks. Mine will be all the correct way.

M1075, will the center hole of that combat wheel fit over the outside of the deuce studs? If not, how close do you estimate it is? I have an idea! THANKS!

HEY! Can somebody please do something for me? I'm working on CAD design for a spacer in a CAD-CAM program and for stud length (and to try to stay ahead of headaches) I need to know what the thickness is of the wheel mounting flange on the hub of a 5 ton. The part of the hub that the wheel...

Those look about like the right wheels! Even the web site says about the CTIS system that the 'A3's have. <img src="http://img82.exs.cx/img82/5326/M35A3truck1.jpg" border="0"> <img src="http://img82.exs.cx/img82/7539/M35A3truck2.jpg" border="0"> <img...

M1075, appreciate the offer. I have 6, 395/85R20 XL's to put on these wheels: <img src="http://img52.exs.cx/img52/8572/5toncombat16za.jpg" border="0"> <img src="http://img52.exs.cx/img52/5959/5toncombat2yh.jpg" border="0">Ain't they purdy? :) Now you guys know why I'm looking to slap them on...

Wheel Adapter? *hope this hasn't been recent..."

Uh...these aren't quite that easy to just re-center. With these the center IS the outside bead. It's like one big plate with a couple steps pressed into it and the 10 wheel stud holes AND the bunch of holes for bolting the it onto the other side of the can. I'd post a pic, but I'm about 2400...

I've got a line...we'll, actually a deposit on seven 5 ton, beadlock, 'combat' wheels. I also have six, 395/85-R20 'wide carcass' 45.5"x 15.5" XL's. Has someone made up a low cost, like under $100/per, wheel adapters going from 6 on 8-3/4" to 10 on 11-1/4"? I'm about to delve into this search...
