    I have had an M1009 for the past 15+ years. I have made some fairly long trips (600-700 miles) up and down the east coast. At a steady 65mph I can get 20 to 21 mpg. On one trip I did see a solid 23 mpg, but I was also forced, due to heavier traffic, to stay around 55 mph most of the way...

    Yeah, some of the motorcycle shops sell higher end electric clothing, including jackets, gloves, sock, etc. Bought my wife an electric vest (little 7.2v battery) and it will keep her very toasty in sub-zero temps for about 4 hours on high. She loves it !

    That suit, along with a really good pair of electric socks would keep anyone nice and toasty in those frigid temps !! -10 to -30........BBBRRRRRRR !
