    Thanks good idea! It would be helpful if more was falling off. It's surprisingly resilient. I was hoping there was a blunt very light pneumatic air hammer type tool. Welding chipping hammer tapping might do it but it would take so long. If I do that ill buy two, pay for a drum instructor and...

    Good green paint, possibly original covered up by thick spray over. As it chips off he paint underneath is exposed. Is there anyway not to take off the green underneath while removing the over coat?
