The guy who sold me my truck told me they were on the short side of 36 as well. He has them on his truck with no lift but said he had to do a lot of cutting.
behind the cover there are 10 millimeter bolts at the pivot where the post goes in. These bolts are for tension adjustment on the mirror post. (see picture)
Figured it was the rear from your previous description. Do you see any evidence of fluid leaks in the back side? for some reasun your brakes adjusted themselves tight on that wheel.
Still think your problem is with the new fuel pump or the installation. Again I have to ask about the fuel pump push rod reinstallation during the pump replacement.
Sounds like the new pump isn't pumping fuel. Did you get the push rod back in the hole right before putting the new pump on? Pack it with grease to hold it in position? It's not sucking air from a loose or damaged line is it?
I've had to bleed my system a couple times now and I've found it very easy to do. First, open the valve at the fuel filter and crank it until fuel flows out the drain tube. Should only take a few seconds. Tighten the valve and then crack open all 8 lines at the injectors and crank until they all...
My old V8 inboards are the same way only the resistance is in the volt gauge. If the gauge stops working you need to splice a peanut bulb and socket into the alternator wiring to "tickle" the regulator to start the charging system.
Just FYI...if your Gen 2 lamp is not working, neither is your alternator. That is how the system works as it needs the bulb resistance to start the charging. I thought my system was working fine for months until I put new bulbs in the dash and saw it start charging. If your back battery is...
Interesting. The key that came with my truck unlocks the doors and starts the truck like its supposed to. The new key that I put on my key ring works fine in the ignition but won't unlock the door.
One key originally fit all of these trucks and the door key cut is the same as the ignition. I bought a bunch of extra keys already cut from eBay so I have plenty of extras just in case.
Not bad. Mine uses more than that with 32k on the odometer. If you think that's bad, my wife's Grand Prix GXP with the 5.3 Chevy V8 REALLY drinks it at a quart per 1000 miles. Those are notorious for oil use. I just see it as always having clean oil in it. ;)
