It happens! I still had small brake fluid leak and low oil pressure after a 25 mile test drive. I tightened up the offending brake line and changed the oil. Hoping that fix both of my problems - if not, mine will be there for show only, no convoy. I am not sacrificing safety - driving with a...
They have limited hours though - might want to make a stop OTW.
Man, I wish I could be there for the range time - I would bring my Garand and Carbine too!
Again - going to miss this too. I've never shot a Barrett. An M2 yes, but not a Barrett!
That DOES look good - perfect bonfire weather too!
One question - has anyone thought about video for the convoys/trailride? My buddy Scott Schiller (that likes to do videos and post them on Facebook) won't be able to make it this weekend, so I was going to do a walk around to showcase some of...
Hopefully i will be able to get the jeep brakes straightened out in time, if not, I will drive the deuce and put a for sale sign on it! I'm making progress on the brakes though - no leaks, but still have to bleed them and do a LONG test drive to be sure!
Man, you guys have turned this thing into a MAJOR show this year! Can't wait for it myself. I still have to sort out a brake problem on the Jeep, then it will be ready to roll. Would love to come for the whole event, but I'm already having to take 3 days vacation to attend for the weekend. I...
That will work too. Still want one! Looking forward to the rally, but I don't what days/if I will be attending - depends on whether I am still at my current job or not. Lots of work to do on the Jeep and trailer before then too.
I don't know why I keep missing updates on this thread, but I missed 2 pages this time! Anyhow, looks like I'm gonna miss the range and trail ride because I won't be able to be there until around 11:00 on Friday - already having to use 3 days vacation for the main event. It used to be on my week...
You're right - I was thinking that GMRS was limited to 1w, but it IS 5w. The only thing is that you have to possess a GMRS license to use those frequencies with a GMRS radio - legally). https://www.fcc.gov/general/general-mobile-radio-service-gmrs.
Here's a thread about the very subject we are...
I have my Technician license - I'm not really knowledgeable about it though, hardly even get on the air. I got certified last August. There was a guy there last year (or maybe the year before) that had a bunch of military radio equipment displayed. I talked to him for a little while - he was...
He likes to set up on a level spot - the last 2 times he was there we set him up on the 2nd gravel road about the 4th spot on the left. It is a real level area there with water and electric.
Does anyone remember what the camping rates are - primitive and camper. It seems like I paid $15/night last year without a camper. All it says on the website is that camping rates vary with each event.
Actually, 3 and 4 wheelers are NOT allowed per camping rules: http://dentonfarmpark.com/camping-rules/ . There have been a few at previous events and I don't think anyone has been reprimanded about their use. I am not one to stir the pot, but this IS their establishment and I don't think anyone...
