1983 Ford F350 aircraft tug information needed

Hello,

i am new her at Steelsoldier forum. It is a great forum.
I am from germany and the owner of a Kaiser Jeep M35, 1977 Dodge M880 series W200, Dodge M890 series D200, and a Dodge WM300 power wagon danish army. The last two are waiting for restauration. I saved them from a wrecking yard here in germany.
One week ago i got another vehicle to my collection. It is a 1983 Ford F350 dually aircraft tug. Engine is a 300cui I6 with a C6 automatic transmission. Rear axle is a dana 70 with leave springs, custom spring hangers and without an auxiliary spring pack. It seems to be a locker in the rear axle. Front axle is a indepentend suspension with coil springs. The conpany who build the Ford tug is PSI. There is a sticker inside on the roof saying this. This are the informations i have.
The former owner cut away the middle of the rear box and removed the ballast weight. He installed a hydraulic loading crane on the back with two outriggers bolted to the rear bumper. Currently loaded the front bumper with 10 tug weights.
I want to use the Ford as a crane and wrecker truck for my workshop helping me to maintain and restore my vehicles.
I also plan to convert it to a 133 or 137 Wheelbase and make it street legal to drive some day on the road. I am satisfied with 50 mph using it only for short trips on country roads and dont want to use it for highway. So 50 mph are ok.

My big qestion is: which axle ratio does these ford tugs have in their Dana 70s? How fast they are in stock konfiguration?
I have used google and the search feature in this forum. But there ist very little information especially to these Ford tugs. Most informations i found are for Jeep CJ10.

So I only found the CJ10 axle ratio is 4.88 but nothing for the ford.

At the moment i have no possibility /time to check the axle ratio by lifting and rotating the yoke and tires. I am also interestet in any further generall information about these aera Ford trucks like GVWR, technical Specs, Army usage etc.
The vehicle information sticker at the driver door opening is missing.
Are there some army technical manuals around?

Couldn't tell you but a quick look at the tag on the diff cover will show you the ratio if it still exists. Good luck with your findings.

I think the only way to see what you have is pull the cover and count the teeth along with a visual inspection to see what diff you have. It may indicate a limited slip diff but I've never seen a Detroit locker with a special tag on the cover. You would have to reference the build sheet for that. This is why you really need to pull the cover.
