2 Holes in my bed ??? Pics

I was curious as to what the 2 holes are for in the rear of my dropside bed...Any ideas ???

There's an extra support strut that goes there to support the troop seats.

It's for a support rod for the bed side. its to hold the sides up when you drop the tail gate.

It would be nice to be able to close the tailgate and hook the chains without having to push in on the drivers side bed side a little to get it close enough to the tailgate to hook the hook in place.. I would like to have a set...

ahh... now I get it... I couldnt figure it out before :banghead:

I hadnt noticed we were talking about a dropside bed.... and couldnt for the life of me understand why extra support would be needed.... [^]
