Has anyone swapped their generator for an alternator? I am in the process of doing a motor swap and figured it would be easier to go to a 24 volt alternator. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I have most of the 100 Amp generation system for the M715 (all of it except the alternator). I have no use for this kit. I bought it years ago because I was told it also fit a M37 (it doesn't).

PM me if you are interested.

Get a Delco 33si, it will go right on your Chevy engine, member 74M35A2 has the best deal on 24 volt versions of this. PM me if you don't want your take off 60 amp alternator from your Tornado.

From the factory the M715 comes with a 60amp Alternator, not a generator. It was one of the first M-series vehicles to come equipped with an alternator and had a warning sticker on the battery box warning soldiers about the difference between alternator vs. generator vehicles since it was a new concept.
