Where are people breaking their axle shafts for the 5ton Rockwell?
Front shafts?
1.Near hub on outer spline?
2.At joint for turning? Ball style vs Ujoint style... any different?
3.Inner mid part of shaft length? Short shaft vs Long shaft?
4.Inner shaft splines?
Did you have a locker or lockers on this axle?
Rear shafts?
1. Inner splines
2. Inner mid part of shaft length
3. Front "mid" axle vs Rearmost axle?
What were you doing when you broke it?
What was needed for you to fix it, such as replace the chunk because shards got into your gears etc... Pic is for attention, not mine.
