After a lot of research I’m going to begin an m923 crew cab build. I have a donor cab ready and after checking out a bunch of builds decide on suicide doors. I have a lot of experience building and fixing all things mechanical but this will be the biggest build I have started. I will post pics from the build so folks can follow along and help me figure out roadblocks if they choose to. I’m not going to mess with the donor cab floor. I’m going to follow Plan B’s advice and fab a subfloor to an extra horseshoe cab mount in the back. We are big folks so I’m adding some extra room in the cab for air ride seats and legroom. I will add some pics and we will kick this pig!!!!

Got some good work in yesterday. Removed the exhaust and intake stacks. Watch out for the lines on the intake stack. The grab handles were the worst of the bolts, they will strip the heads if you’re not careful. Took the top off and shop vac ‘d the floor. Next step will be to cut the back wall off the truck cab at the jambs and in front the c channel on the back cab mount.

Had a couple hours and got the back off the original cab. But also found the floor was rotten to the trans hatch!!! All of the tacks that hold the floor are rotten. Going on a metal run sometime to get 16ga and 1x2 square tubing. Thinking about diamond plate with rhino or lizard for the floor. What do you guys think??
