I was with derrick here in chat when it happened. I say GL is up to shenanigans again. I've never read this before and I've read the whole rules and disclaimers list.

according to what they said on the phone, anything over $15,000 they need proof in writing that says you have the money to pay for it.
It's been a while since I've looked at GL's terms and conditions, but if it isn’t spelled out, I'd look at paying a mouth piece to send them a letter with a demand for compensation.

Most of their high dollar auction spells out sending certified funds before being allowed to bid.

Get a lawyer and send the letter. Also file a complaint with the BBB in Arizona about their business practices.

By chance, did the same bidder get both trucks?

it wasnt one of those auctions, it was just like any other vehicle auction but it just so happens that the bidding got up high.
I know it wasn't one of those auctions as I also followed both of them until a few minutes after 5:00 when I had to leave for a meeting.

File the complaint with the BBB, it's free. Also, ding your Congress critter and inform them about GL's business practices.

Make notes on the call you received from GL, date and time, whom you talked to, what was discussed and any remedies they offered.

I love how they change the rules once the game has started.

I have purchased several trucks for more than $15K and I have never been questioned...EVER...including in the last several weeks. I am not saying you are wrong. I am only telling you how I have been treated.

Derrick, I just received an email from a friend (also a SS'er) who told me that he received the same notification that you received. Either I received it and discarded it without reading, or I did not get it. Either way, others have received the same notification that you did.

I used them as leverage when a tranny shop tried to pull one over on me when I was in the military. They aren't all that bad.

ya they are, I filed a complaint against a buss that stole $5k from me and I was told that since the bussiness did not respond to the BBB's letter, that they were dropping the case and would do nothing further.
