6.2 vs 6.5 CDR valve system

Would it be better to upgrade from a earlier 6.2 cdr system to the 88-up cdr system? I have all the parts for either system and am getting ready to put this engine back together. What do you guys think.

Just keep it stock. Replacement valves can be found all day for 22$

That is one benefit of the old system. Since I'm not buying cdr valves every oil change, cost is not a factor, i'm concerned more about which system will work better and prevent oil consumption.

How many miles a year do you drive it, and how high rpms?

I think i put about 18,000 miles on my k5/700r4/3.08 gears in the last 3 years. Normal driving, no towing.

Stock should do just fine for you.
