6.2l Emissions and Power?

So old diesels are known for not having those modern emission control devices installed on them, so I was wondering if anyone had hooked up a stock 6.2l to a emissions test and see what the results are. Of course the new diesels would have pretty high particulate emissions if the fuel wasn't being burnt all the way, but I don't imagine that the particulates would be anywhere near as much since the 6.2l are so under powered. And since the 6.2s are under powered the heat required to produce a significant amount of NOx would be lowered since the engine wouldn't run as hot as the newer 300+ HP diesels?


Also I was looking on GMs website and they say that the 6.2l that was given to the army in the humvee had a stock HP of 165 at 3600 RPM and 330 ft/lbs of torque at 2100 rpm. But I always thought that the stock 6.2s were 150 and 250 ft/lbs. Thoughts?

Peak Horsepower:Introduced at 130 hp @ 3,600 rpm, maximum offered during production was 143 hp @ 3,600 rpm. The United States Army's version was rated at 165 hp @ 3,600 rpm.
Peak Torque:Introduced at 240 lb-ft A 2,000 rpm, the maximum offered rating during production was 257 lb-ft @ 2,000 rpm. The United States Army's version was rated at 330 lb-ft @ 2,100 rpm.

"The 6.2L diesel was ordered with regular production option codes (RPO) LH6 (C series) and LL4 (J series). Many vehicles employed by the United States' Army were powered by the 6.2L diesel, from pickups to HUMVEES. The Army version had a higher output rating of 165 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque, quite an increase over the production engines."

UPDATE:
Found this on wikipedia (Detroit Diesel V8 6.2l), almost every data point I find is different... its interesting that GMs website says 165 hp then wikipedia says 185 hp.

not likely I would expect much higher nox with the high compression of a na diesel
I looked and there looks to be a 2.4:1 compression difference between the 6.2/6.5 na to the turbo 6.5. Of course its higher than gasoline, but I'm strictly talking within the diesel world.
