6CTA 8.3 - Check your balancer pulley / vibration dampers

Hello Everyone

I noticed my drive belt was not alligned and beginning to fray. The vibration damper/ harmonic balancer began to seperate at the rubber layer, and the outer section moved away from the engine a 1/4 inch. Replacing the balancer is an easy repair and does not require a puller to remove it from the crankshaft.

I lost one before driving it home, from picking it up from Ft.Meade. Not fun,had to call a wrecker..
