Yes I searched and read many of the threads about the 7004R but there's a few questions where there's conflicting information. I really don't want to do a 4l80E and I don't want to modify the driveshafts.

TH400
In the HMMWV what is the output shaft spline count on the TH400?

765R4
Does the "765R4" transmission use any sort of throttle cable?
What is the output shaft spline count?
What is the overall length of the transmission?
Does it use the same speedo cable as the TH400?

700R4
What is the output shaft spline count from a standard 4x4 model made by GM?
Does this spline count differ based on who upgrades the transmission? I'm leaning towards the package offered by MME.
I thought I'd read someplace a 700R4 needs to have custom/non standard shaft (?)

IIRC the 765 is just a heavy duty 700R4, for simplicity sake I will call them 4L60 which is one of the designations used for the 700R4
They are both mechanical with a throttle cable.
It takes a $500 (pre covid price) output shaft and adapter to use in the HMMWV as the 4L60 is a lighter duty trans with a smaller output shaft.
So the 4L60 must be built as a HMMWV trans from the ground up as the output shaft is the first thing installed in the case.
Other than that I think no mods need to be made to the drive shafts, maybe a mod or different cross member.
