I recently bought a 79 m35a2 am general that was on the minot air base before being sold and will admit not knowing much, after a day of having it i caught someone in it messing around in the cab and because im in town it likely will or has happened again. So i bought keyed door locks and start switch, problem is the harness wires are numbered and i cant find anything on which is which. Guy before had a jerry rigged start switch and i needed something to keep the local jackass's from playing with it. So the numbers are 117,127,118, 174. My mechanic said they were being fazed out by the time he entered service so he didnt get much training on it and is equally dumbfounded on the numbers that dont match anything

You are in luck. You found this web site and forum. A little bit of searching would provide you with this:

These guys beat me to it 😆. The wiring harnesses are sort of generic, in that there's many different M44 variants that use the same harness, so some wires literally DO go to nothing. Those CAD blueprints are your best shot for getting it right. Something worth checking into would be a keyed battery disconnect, that way even if some jagamo manages to get passed the keyed ignition, there won't be any power to the system unless the interrupt switch is unlocked. I have an unkeyed version installed and I love it.

Go here and all the TM, maintance manuals, are there. Look at the wire schematic. If you do not know how to read it, say something and we can help you.

I've been up and down all of them and not finding what I need

I think you're reading them incorrectly, which happens to all of us lol. There aren't ones in front of your numbers, so what you're looking for are 17, 27, 18 and 74, which I have located on the diagram and am currently trying to condense the image to aid. Couple minutes and you should be set

Hope it helps
