I SEE A LOT OF COMPLAINING ON HERE ABOUT G.L. . I JUST WANT TO SAY FOR THE MOMEY I SAVED ON THE PURCHASE OF TWO M35A2 's THE FEW HURDLES WERE PAINLESS. THE LONGER THAN EXPECTED EUC WAIT WAS UNNERVING BUT THE REPS. FROM GL WERE PLEASENT AND REASSURING. THE PICKUPS AT WARNER ROBINS AND REDSTONE WENT SMOOTH AND THE PEOPLE AT BOTH PLACES WERE FUN TO WORK WITH. THE SF97 WAS QUICK SENT THE REQUEST IN ON TUESDAY, FORMS THAT I HAD TO SIGN FOR THE FLORIDA TITILE WERE IN THE MAILBOX ON FRIDAY, SENT THEM OUT ON SATURDAY, TITILE CAME BACK TWO AND A HALF WEEKS LATER. THE FLORIDA DMV WAS EVEN EASY WENT THIS MORNING AND HAD NO TROUBLE APPLYING FOR THE ANTIQUE TAG , KRISTY AT THE TAG OFFICE EVEN FILLED OUT THE PAPERWORK FOR ME TO SEND TO TALLAHASSEE .

THANK YOU G.L.

Did people on-site steal $1200 worth of parts off of your trucks? Ever been given the wrong trailer because they gave your (nicer) trailer to someone else? Ever had someone steal the safety chains off of your trailer because the GL rep was not watching customers during pick-up? Ever had your truck damaged by a GL rep who moved your truck around after you bought it? What about the truck that was described as "driven onto yard," yet it was missing the starter and alternator? What about the truck that said "running condition unknown," yet the pictures showed a hole in the block? What about those trucks that were sold showing the good side in the pictures? I could go on and on.

There are plenty of examples of great GL experiences and I have had many, too. However, there are many, many bad experiences. That is why people come on to complain.

I keep hearing the horror stories and I believe them it seems to me that when it comes to GL I must be lucky.

Every time there has been a problem with anything to do with GL it turns out it is my problem and not theirs.

Just lucky I guess.

I've only had the one bad experience with GL...and that was at the infamous Creekside, OH warehouse. That place is messed up like a soup sandwich

I should have added above that only a few of those things happened to me. One of them happened to a good friend and the others happened to people on this list and were posted previously. I only typed from the top of my head. I know there were many other horror stories.

I would think if you have had those kinds of problem I would quit buying from them. YOU do have a chose as for me only good to say and sometimes the good needs to be said.
Now don't ask me about the JERK goverment employees at the DRMO.

I am glad you had a good experience dealing with GL. We used to have a representative from GL on here. We don't anymore. Hmmmmm........???:?:

GL is the only organization I have ever dealt with that actually makes the Federal Goverment look competent and organized.

They have some good folks at the lowest levels, along with a bunch of idiots who like to damage, destroy and allow pilfering and theft.

The management is utterly incompetent, if not borderline criminal in some things they do.

Drive your trucks for six months or so and then let me know how much money you saved buy buying from GL. Too many times I have heard people say they would never buy from a private owner because the price is too high and then a few months later they are posting want ads for motors and tranmissions ect. When you buy from them, it is pot luck at best. I hope everything works out for you.

While I'm sure there are some great private sellers, the ones I looked at (before buying my Deuce from GL) the trucks were unmodified from how they left the GL lot (well, except for all being stripped of jacks, tools, fire extinguishers, cargo covers, troop seats, bows, etc by the seller) and for a 3X markup, and no title. At least the private seller would let you try to start them... though none would without a jump. If there was any benefit to buying that way, I wasn't aware of it.

I've had my bad experiences everywhere. GL punched out a taillight on my Civvy truck with a forklift doing a loadout, and the forms for making a claim were so ridiculous and time consuming I gave up (considering the taillight cost $8 at the junkyard). GL behaves like most exclusive-contract companies when it comes to service. I'd not deal with them, but they're the only source in town.

I've got a choice? Please enlighten me about my options. To the best of my knowledge, they are the ONLY real game in town. Sure, GSA and a couple of other smaller websites have an occasional military vehicle, but no where near what GL has. If you meant to say, "Well, they are a very flawed company. I suppose you either have to deal with their crap or stop buying trucks (and feeding your addiction)," I could buy that statement. They have screwed me...and MANY others on this list. You just have not gotten screwed because you have not dealt with them enough. Two trucks is hardly the sample size that I would be drawing from to make hard and fast conclusions. I have no problem on your saying that you had a great experience. What caught my eye was when you commented on guys complaining. We have just as much right to complain as you have to compliment.
