A hopefully not so dumb question about installing a hmmwv cargo cover...

I'm test fitting everything prior to paint, and I'm currently working on the 4 man soft top cargo cover frame... The question I have is about the brackets... does the higher side go towards the front or the rear of the vehicle? The picture in the instructions is small and blurry and I can't tell which way it is supposed to go....
