A little help with engine troubleshooting

My deuce is nearing completion and I'm getting ready to get her on the road. I do have an issue though.

She starts right up, first time every time, and idles around 800 rpm with throttle in all the way...purrs like a kitten, only 6k miles on the truck.

The issue is when I start driving it, I have to pull the throttle out to idle closer to 1200rpm so it doesn't die each time I let off the gas to shift or stop.

Once she comes back from the body shop I have to install the new filters and adapters, but if that doesn't fix it, I'll be at a stand still.

Any thoughts?

Besides the filters (the three of them), check the fuel lines, an air leak is possible.
Make sure the fuel cut-off lever/mechanism on the IP is working smoothly and not sticking. As a routine check, drain some fuel from the tank and check for dirt, debris, water etc.

I was leaning in that direction too, but I wanted to rule out anything adjustable/mechanical. I'll change out all the filters and maybe just drain my tank for good measure...hopefully that clears it up or I'll be bumping this thread! lol

Thanks bud.
