A little piece of Wreckerman comes to SOCAL

I met up with Jim Henderson yesterday who is criss-crossing the globe in search of MV parts. He is about 2 hours away from me on this leg of his trip and brought me a winch for my deuce. Since the camper is still on the back of my GMC we hooked up the trusty modified M105 trailer to haul it back. I toyed with the idea of taking the deuce for the winch recovery right up until the last minute, but the Friday I15 traffic nixed the idea for me. A deuce in bumper to bumper (or bumper to rear window) traffic on a hot day didn't sound like fun. All it takes is one idiot (and we have plenty of them here) to screw it up.

After the winch was loaded and tied down Jim mentioned that he got it out of Wreckerman's greasy hands at some point. So I got to meet another SS member and got a winch with a back story. Awesome day overall.
