My ac is not working in my 1165. I don’t really know where to start, but I figured getting all the pieces connected was a good idea so. I also have not found the proper TM section yet.

The rear evaporator was removed and oil leaked out of one of the lines. I wasn’t sure if I need to top off some kind of oil before screwing this thing together.

I can’t find much reference to oil other than one line in an index to “a/c refrigerant oil” in the TM that ends 387-24-1. Does anyone know what/where this index is referring to? They list para. 25-15g and page 25-47 but I can’t find those sections or pages.

I also don’t know if this is even the correct TM! this TM says that “the air conditioning system covered in this manual alllies only to the m1114”. I believe the one in my 1165 is similar/the same as the m1114 but I’m not certain.

There are only two series of HMMWV manuals, one for the first 3 generations (The M998 through M998A2 and variants) and one for the ECV/REV models.
Then they update the manual over time.
So the manual for the M1114 was updated several times to include the newer models.
You need the 30 June 2009 update of the manual to cover the REV models

EDIT: link below is NOT the newest manuals. Scroll down a few more posts for newer versions
The newer versions of the manuals can be found at this link

Thank you for that link. I have downloaded all the manuals from Kascar but, maybe I don’t need those ones.

unfortunately I clicked on every link for every TM on Gear report, and none of them are from June 2009. What am I missing?

Doh, you are right. Those are the 2001 version.
I'll look around to see where I actually downloaded the 2009 version from.

Part 1 of 2 2009 version . The year of the version update isn't listed until page 7.

Part 2 of 2 2009 version listed on page 5

Parts manual 2009 version
I can't tell you for certain if you will find the info you are looking for, but this is the newest version of the manuals that I know of.

I have found the pertinent pages (at least some of them) finally. for future googlers - TM 9-2320-387-24-2 in the links above (Hummerpartsguy.com)
Starting at pages 575, 1403, and 2004 for the 1165/1151/1167 models

I could only find the part in italics below about the Oil I was investigating, but I dont believe this is correct, as my oil came out of my evaporator. Question for yall - Is 'refrigerant oil' added along with the frion gas (or whatever gas) when they charge the system?

6. INCORRECT OIL LEVEL OR LEAK NOTE There is no oil dipstick port on this A/C compressor. Oil quantity can only be checked in compressor by removing and draining the compressor. After a system component has been replaced or there is reason to suspect an incorrect oil level or leak check system. END OF TESTING

The only way to correctly do it is to flush the entire system (which should definitely be done if the system was open to atmosphere for any time)
then drain and refill the compressor and add the additional amount required by the system.
Replacing the drier is a must do just before evacuating the system prior to charging.
Where the oil leaked out is immaterial as oil flows around the system as it operates.
