I really like my M1031 but to be honest AC would be nice in this south Florida heat. Here is my question...why couldn't I take the AC components from a civilian doner truck and install them into the M1031? I know I would have to fabricate mounting brackets for the compressor and that is workable but are there any major obsticles to doing the transplant? I have my eye on an 87 pickup for around $500, I could use it for all of the needed parts then sell the truck when I'm done. Your thoughts...Thanks.

Firewall modification (cutting) to accept the larger AC housing just for a start, I think there are threads that discuss adding AC to these trucks.

Good luck!
