Advice on Parking brake replacement

I’m about to replace my parking brake cable & pads.
Anyone have any tips on how to do it the “easy” way before I start..?

well its not hard by any means. just bolt off and bolt on. if you have any questions look at the TM.. but its very ez.

Skill wise it is easy, but can be a pain in the a$$. There is, or should be a locking nut on the the end of the cable that is slow to get off. On mine I could only trun it 1/8-1/4 trun at a time. Other than that its easy.

Liquid wrench, let it soak over night if possible.

I agree with jasonjc, that nut is a pain!!! Usually can't turn it by hand and tuff to get a wrench on it. There is also one bolt that mounts the E-brake handle to the floor, it is tuff to get also. It is missing a lot of times because mechanics didn't want to mess with putting it back on. Good Luck!
