Aftermarket spin on fuel filter

I bought an aftermarket spin on fuel filter and base to swap out the old one on my cucv since the original was leaking. Was wondering if the dummy light will always stay on or if I would run into any issues since there is 2 or 3 connectors that are on the old fuel filter housing. Hope y'all can help. Thanks

dummy light for water in fuel won't turn on. You'll lose your fuel heater, water in fuel sensor and filter change sensor if you still have the original 3 connector style filter head. But considering your in texas you won't need the fuel heater and most spin on setups have clear bowls to check for water.
