Air compressor and air conditioner?

I was wondering if there was any way to mount an air compressor and the compressor for the air conditioner? I understand that if you convert to 12v you can free up one alternator's spot for the A/C compressor, but then would there be enough room for an engine-mounted compressor? Alternatively, is there any way plumb the A/C compressor to an air tank so that it served a dual purpose?

The long term goal is to have on-board air, A/C and a power inverter.

If you look at the AC kit from ODIron, it puts the compressor under the passenger side alternator. Then if you remove the drivers side Alternator, you can find brackets that will fit the long style (A6?) compressor from the late 70's, which is supposed to be one of the best for using as an air compressor.

If you're going to be running an inverter, any reason you couldn't just mount a 120v "pancake" or "hotdog" compressor (or, since it's a deuce, maybe even something bigger) remotely? Or do you just want the compressor to be engine mounted?

Edit- why the heck did I think this was going on a deuce? Sigh. Loosing my marbles, obviously. Anyhoo, on a CUCV I'd mount a compressor/air tank where the second fuel tank would go.

Good idea. Is there a particular compressor/tank combo that would fit well in that spot? I'd like one large enough to air up the tires and run an impact wrench.

I would just measure out the space available, and get the biggest tank available. I'd figure you could get something like this in there- http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200359571_200359571

You may have to relocate the pump relative to the tank, though, for fitment. If you could find a tank on its own, you could then hook up a pump remotely, to make the best use of space. I assume you mean "use an impact wrench" like just to break the lugnuts free, not for anything hugely regular or demanding.
