Air compressor blows oil

I've had my M35A3 for quite some time now and have lived with the fact that the CTIS never worked. I would just manually fill up the tires. I just recently took apart the CTIS ECU and checked it for anything loose, put it back together and it works! now I can select highway and the compressor starts to pump up and all the sudden it releases all the pressure from a large 1" fitting thats elbowed to the rear from the bottom of the compressor and sounds like a air horn when the pressure is released, It than started to blow milky oil which smells like gear oil all over the rear axles. We let it run for about 5 minutes and only once did it change the tire pressure about 10psi really quick. It then blew more oil? I'm not sure if this is a broken seal in the pump? It pumps up the air perfect and I can still use the glad hose fine for manual fill up. It only makes the "horn" sound and releases pressure from this fitting when CTIS is on.
