air filter housing seal

Sorry guys this is a newbie question and I not having much luck searching for my answer. Im getting ready to order a new air filter, do I need to order a new air filter housing seal ( $3.25 ) also ? Im going to order it off Eriks surplus. Also a friend of mine said I need to replace two rear axel seals, I was also going to order these now to replace it in the spring. Does anyone have a part number for this. Thank You Rich

i dont think so, if yours isnt ripped, i wouldnt bother. even if it was, thats on the "dirty" side of the air cleaner anyway.

What wildchild said with the caveat that you should make sure your seal is in good shape if you plan on submerging your air filter housing.
