Alternator Help

I am having 2 problems with my alternator on my M1008 that I could use some help on.

1. The Gen 2 light on the dash no longer comes on bright and then turns off when starting. It just stays dimly lit the whole time now. I had both alternators tested at the auto store as well as the batteries. They think the batteries are good but that the passenger side alternator is going out. Can I assume the Gen 2 light refers to the passenger side alternator? And where is the best place to get a replacement alternator with the isolated ground? Can it be rebuilt? If so where is best to get a rebuild kit?

2. The top bolt on the passenger side alternator bracket (that goes into the engine block) has broken off inside the block. Any ideas how to get the bolt out? And what bolt to use as a replacement? Is this a common problem?

I appreciate any help and advice.

Right side / passenger side is Gen 2. The bolt is an M10 X 1.5 pitch. It should come out easily with a drill and easy out. Do not go wild. Get someone to weld a nut onto the bolt remains and get it out. i had a friend break a chunk of the head beating on his. IDK. I was not there. I could not believe it when I seen it. It is not a common problem that I am aware of. The alternators are easily rebuilt at an alternator shop. other guys do them at home. I take them to an automotive electrical shop. That is easier for me and I have NOT had any issues at all with any of the parts I have rebuilt. Do as you wish. I hope that helps you out.
