Alternator rebuild parts

I have never had luck finding rebuild kits for them. If you go to a local starter and alternator rebuild shop they will usually sell you the parts they can get for it if you want to do it yourself. And from what i have seen they parts to rebuild them come to about half the price for a new one. At least in my area
