As some of yall know I have 4 aluminum wheels that will go on the 5 ton at the end of next week when I get the final 3 wheels and after testing to make sure that everything is up to snuff.I have already done a couple tests to see what the thread size, depth, hole diameter, drill size, metal to metal comparable, and bought the appropriate tap. With all that done, I was wondering what would be the appropriate torque value be on an aluminum wheel. The manual says 450-500 lbs, but that is for steel wheels. Is it less for aluminum?and do I need different lugnuts? Thanks for the advice! My detailed conversion will follow if everything works out.
