Another 700r4 w/ Np205 Q

I have access to an NP205 from a Turbo350 transmission. I am wondering if I need anything more than the adapter plate/spacer to make it work in my otherwise stock M1008? Do I need to worry about the extra weight and an extra mount bracket for it?

You will also need the sleeve that connects the trans output shaft to the transfer case input shaft, and the shifter itself. the shifter is integrated into the adapter using it as a mounting point. The shifter for the 208 is mounted to the cab floor. Check out my add in the classifieds, I have all these parts available. I would recomend a rear mount for the 205.

Thank you! It is supposed to have all the stuff with it except the mount. Will the driveshafts stay the same?

Funny you say that. When I got my Monster trans, they sent it with the long 4X4 shaft, so instead of sending it back to Florida I just put a 208 behind it. I had to shorten the rear shaft by three inches and lenthen the by front three. I don't know why, sorry. I think the 700/205 overall is shorter than the 700/208. You will have to get it togeather and see what you got.
