another injection pump question

getting ready to make my 87 m1028 a dd.. put about 1500 miles on it.. parked it the other night.. 3 days ago. used it a bit today.. let off the gas at a light the truck shuts off. hit the gas and there is hesitating . then it takes off. truck is all stock. been easy on it. all fluids and filters are new.. friends are saying its the pump.. been great for 1500 miles.. checking fuel pressure in a few.

any other ideas thanks

You sure it was filled up with diesel last time? Back to the basics. Proper fuel, fuel to the lift pump, pressurized fuel to the IP and fuel back to the tank.
