Anyone have an extra alternator rotor?

The threads on my alternator rotor shaft got really damaged when I dropped it on concrete during its rebuild. Worked nicely for about twenty minutes, now wont stay tight. I need a new rotor with a good bolt. Anyone know where I can find one? Maybe I will just buy a whole new alternator, and put the rotor from the remaining alt in the stripped one?

Just about any alternator repair shop should have some good used rotors. You can also find a whole alternator at the junk yard. The rotor from any 27SI (big block Caddy) should work fine.

Can you use a thread file to clean the threads? How about some Loc-tite blue or red to keep the nut on?
