I need to find someone that is close to the El Paso Tx GL lot that can help me on a recovery of (4) M35's. The lot manager down there does not load out on Fridays and I can't get down there on a Monday or Wednesday. I need to find someone that can take these trucks off site for me for a few days and we'll come down the following friday to pick them up. I'll compensate for time and expenses, thanks. Carnac is down in that area. Not sure he had the time or place to store, but I would check with him, just in case.

Send him a PM just in case he doesn't see this thread. Never hurts to ask. He's a good guy and only bites once.

We made it back.......672 miles towbaring 2-M35's with 2-m35's + 105 degree heat + one mountain range = LOADS OF FUN! The trucks did well, they where right on the limit of overheating most of the way. We ended up using a non-turbo truck as pull truck after realizing that we had a truck that wouldnt stay cool while towing in the mountains during that kind of heat and to my surprise the non-turbo truck ran fairly well despite all the smoke it blew out in the process. We did have one truck that failed to start, looks like an IP problem. That is one desolate area north/east of El Paso......fuel stations where few and far between.

Glad the trip went well. What was your average speed? How long was the trip? Etc. I did a trip exactly like this a year ago and each pull deuce ran hot the entire way. Averaged 37mph for the 330+/- trip through the hills of East Texas.

I feel your pain, I towed a deuce with a deuce from Nellis AFB, NV back to Tonopah, AZ. You are right on the hills. I did it in the summer time also, HOT!!!
I said I would not do that again. My wife said the same....

Glad you had a safe trip home!!!
