Anyone modify the battery compartment?

I was thinking of removing or relocating the divider in the battery compartment, so I can fit cheaper rectangular group 31 batteries. I may remove the first aid kit holder and the slave cable receptacle since I won't ever be slaving it. The group 31 are a few inches longer lengthwise.

Any reason's why this is a bad idea? Other than the labor (which I don't mind).

I figure I could bolt a couple battery trays for the batteries to the floor panel, with their own battery restraints and keep it nice looking.

I think I have some group 32's in mine without any problems, didn't have to remove the divider.

I'm wondering what the bracket on the other side of the divider is for?

I'd hate to give up the slave port. It has multiple uses....

The divider is also used as a load wall for the seat base and the commander's arse.
