I'd say electrical problems, especially in the instrument cluster where a bad bulb contact can make parts of the truck quit working in unexpected ways.
Dont let the fancy military 12/24 volt system scare you. Read the TM's, and search here on SS. Avoid trying to convert it to 12 volt.....It already has a fickle electrical system if not maintained properly.
Be ready to spend about a grand right off the bat. Belts, hoses, suspension, filters, fluids, brakes, etc.
It is a 25+ year old vehicle that may or may not have been cared for very well.
Hope it comes with a fresh TX inspection. Hope you were able to inspect it. Hope it hasn't been electrically butchered.
