Appropriate Trailers for M915s

I have a few questions about which trailers will work with the M915.

I recall seeing a photo of a M128 on the back of a M915, which would lead me to believe that the M127 and M129 would also work okay on a 915. The M172 lowboy trailer works, and I know a M871 and M872 will work as well.

Does anyone know if the M295 chassis trailers (M750, M313, M447, etc) will work with a M915?

Do a lot of civilian semitrailers work with a M915?

Civiy trailer is a 2 1/2in kingpin! M915s have use that size dont they? I thought the larger trcators M920 used the 3.5in kingpin.

Dont forget they can pull M101s and M105s! M200s! A bolster trailer with logs!

The M915's all have fifth wheels that accept 2-1/2" kingpins.

The M916 and M920 have fifth wheels that accept 3-1/2" kingpins.

All (3) of them have both 12V and 24V trailer light connections (the M915 on the driver's side bottom of the cab, the M916 & M920 on the driver's side bottom of the winch), as well as pintle hitches on the rear crossmember w/ 24V trailer light connections and air brake connections on each framerail.

The M915 will pull most non-mil trailers w/ ease. The fifth wheel position and height is very good for non-mil trailers.

The M915A1 is extremely easy to drive.

The only trailers, to my knowledge, that the M915 series should not try and haul, are the heavy lowboy trailers meant for tanks (i.e. M747, M1071, etc.) because the kingpin is too big. Also, the short cargo trailers like the M416 or M101, they tend to sway due to their short wheelbase to the tractor. Everything else should work fine.

There is some mis information at the top of this thread. A M915 is almost a standard civilian tractor. We use ours with all civilian trailers. In fact, the only semis we use on our grain farm are M915A1s, and we pull all sorts of civilian trailers with them.
